The
Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI)
has developed a system for certifying consultants.
These self-imposed measures evolved by the apex body
of management consultants in India are aimed at ensuring
clients quality service in line with world standards,
said sources.

"While
certified consultants from India will be able to practice
in other countries which demand certification, the
government and industry would do well to circulate
information about their needs with regard to consulting
services to the members of the IMCI," said Mr.
Hiru Bijlani, president, IMCI. "This would enable
them to broad base their choice of consultants and
assure them of acceptable service standards,"
he added. By the end of October, 1998, the profession
will have batch of management consultants formally
certified in India, he said. |
