The East Meets West Corporation of the US is setting up an Indian affiliate called East Meets West Corporation India “which will work in the area of joint ventures and technology transfer in the manufacture of environment friendly products.”

Dr Hiru Bijlani, management consultant will be the managing director of the Indian operation and Ms Anneke van Waesberghe will be the chairperson. It will focus on pollution control equipment, energy conservation techniques and enhancement of value addition levels for rural products, according to a release.
