As
Indian company Zenith Collaboration, has secured a
consultancy assignment from concept to commissioning
of an exclusive island resort in Maldives which will
be comparable to the best in the world, says a press
release of the company.
The
$10 million resort, the press note adds, is promoted
by a non-resident Indian group. The resort is expected
to open in October 1989.
The
$10 million investment is confined to the first phase
alone. Zenith has selected various consultants for
architectural and other services from India and overseas.
Zenith
was set up in 1985 by Dr. Hiru Bijlani who holds Ph.D.
in the area of international business. Before setting
up the company, Dr. Bijlani worked in various countries
in Africa and West Asia.

The
company specialises in arranging collaborations, chalking
out diversification plans, preparing feasibility reports,
implementing products etc.
The
company has associate consultants in the U.S., Europe,
Japan and South-East Asia. Some of the clientele include
Inlaks group of the U.K. (NRI company), Matsushita
of Japan, HVA of Holland, Hindustan Lever Ltd. Etc.
Currently,
the company is in the process of developing a 100
per cent export-oriented unit for Hindustan Lever
and it is looking out for suitable collaborations
from foreign companies. It is actively working in
the area of processed seafood with know-how obtained
from Japan. It is also seeking tie-ups for rubber
and related products.
Zenith’s
thrust is in identifying projects which are non-traditional
and help the country in earning more and more exchange
by export of agro and non-agro based products, adds
the release.
